The menu at Bean and Brick shines with a focus on quality and flavor innovation. Highlights include their buttery Almond and Vanilla Cream Stuffed Croissant, the subtly sweet and flaky Apple Danish, and the fan-favorite Cappuccino Stickybun. The honey cake, praised for its moist texture and natural sweetness, is a must-try treat that perfectly complements any coffee choice. For those who prefer savory options, the tomato-rich Apple Strudel and cheesy Spinach & Cheese Scone provide a delicious balance.
Breakfast here is nothing short of a revelation. Indulgent yet balanced dishes such as the Bean and Brick Omelette, filled with ham, cheese, spinach, roasted red bell pepper, and onion, come paired with fresh seasonal fruit and a perfectly toasted slice of sourdough bread that’s crispy on the outside and delightfully tender within. Vegetarians aren’t left behind either, with a thoughtfully crafted Veggie Omelette that celebrates fresh garden flavors alongside the same satisfying sourdough base. The Breakfast Bagel, layered with creamy garlic basil sauce, avocado, ham, cheese, and lettuce, also offers an approachable yet elevated start to the day—add an egg for extra protein and satisfaction.
Real guests express genuine affection for Bean and Brick’s offerings and atmosphere. John Obeid appreciates the Mediterranean quinoa salad and consistently great coffee during his annual visits, albeit noting the WiFi can be unreliable for remote workers. Emilia Zabaldo highlights the exceptional customer service and welcoming vibe, making it feel like a home away from home. Sarah raves about the friendly staff and especially the honey cake, while CC Eric admires the unique coffee flavors that stand apart from typical U.S. chains, praising the neat, clean café space and perfect English-speaking staff. Patrick King’s first visit left a memorable impression, not just from the delicious coffee and pastries but from the warm, personal service delivered by staff who remember your name.
More than just a place to grab your morning caffeine fix, Bean and Brick embodies a thoughtful, neighborhood haven where each bite and sip is a small celebration—whether you’re indulging yourself, catching up with friends, or simply soaking in the peaceful rhythms of Puerto Vallarta life. If you’re in Zona Romántica craving expertly brewed coffee, handmade pastries, and breakfast that feels like a comforting embrace, Bean and Brick is a true gem to discover and return to time and time again.
The coffee and food here are great, I stop by here every year I'm back in PV. The Mediterranean quinoa salad is excellent and refreshing. The coffee is generally good. They will charge you for a separate drink if you get a dirty chai though. Also, there's a realtor that appears to operate in the back. For my digital nomads, you can catch up on some remote work here but DO NOT rely on the Wi-Fi, it's not strong. I got dropped every time I tried sharing screens.
Bean & Brick has the best coffee and pastries in PV! Excellent customer service & incredibly welcoming atmosphere!
Great coffee with very friendly staff! The pastries are excellent, and the honey cake is especially delicious. Highly recommend.
The coffee smells amazing and has a smooth medium roast flavor. It’s not sour or overly strong, but instead offers a unique taste that’s very different from what you’d find in the U.S. or at Starbucks. The café itself is neat, clean, and conveniently located, with free Wi-Fi and an adjoining restaurant. The staff speak perfect English, so communication is effortless. They serve excellent coffee along with a small but delightful selection of cakes and baked goods. Overall, it’s a wonderful place to relax and enjoy great coffee.
First time at this establishment and I am a fan! I wanted a new place for Sunday morning coffee for reading a book I’m enjoying. The coffee was good as was the pastry I had. Above all else, the staff was very accommodating and pleasant. Isaac took good care of me and he remembered my name throughout my stay. Very impressive first visit and I’ll be back.
Bean & Brick is outstanding! The coffee is delightful, and the baristas craft the perfect beverages. Their food and pastries are also excellent. The staff is among the friendliest and most helpful in Vallarta, making every visit enjoyable. I often choose this cafe to work due to its comfortable atmosphere, where I always feel welcomed. It’s easily the best coffee spot in PV. I highly recommend dropping by for a drink or a snack when you're in Zona Romantica!
Fantastic place! Food and coffee was amazing, Julio, Issac and Brianda were so friendly, kind and went above and beyond. When I come back to visit I will definitely be back. Muchas gracias
Two years ago, I discovered this establishment, then under Russian ownership, and was immediately captivated by the exceptional quality of its European-style cakes and pastries, particularly the honey cake. I was disappointed by its subsequent closure. However, the new owners have successfully continued the tradition, arguably improving upon it. They have retained the original recipes while expanding the menu and offering outstanding coffee. The premises are consistently clean and well-maintained. Furthermore, the owners provide excellent customer service, readily accommodating individual preferences. We have become loyal patrons and eagerly anticipate our next visit to PV.
